Therapist In Training

Why I should be your counsellor/therapist

Choosing a therapist is an extremely personal decision, and it all comes down to how comfortable and safe you feel in the presence of your therapist. That is why it is important for you to use our free consultation service so we can spend a little time getting to know one another. Overall, I believe in a collaborative style and teamwork, where we work together to achieve your desired goals.

Issues or presenting concerns I have skills or interest in treating (E.g., approaches, modalities etc.) – 75 words
My primary approach in therapy is person-centered and trauma-informed. I aim to create a good therapeutic relationship by providing a non-judgmental and safe environment for you. I also use elements from ACT and CBT where appropriate. Furthermore, I want to explore your life with you so we can uncover patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be contributing to your current issues. I’m interested in working with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, and immigration.

What to expect after working with me
I believe that the ultimate goal in therapy is for you to leave therapy equipped with the skills and knowledge required to live life according to your values. So, I hope that through our work together, by creating a validating and safe environment, you have achieved your desired goals and feel confident in yourself and your abilities.

What Integrative Psychology means to me
It means that people are part of a more extensive system. This implies that they are affected by various factors such as their culture, society, relationship, physical health, etc. Therefore, no two people are ever the same, so they will benefit from different types of treatment. Furthermore, the treatments can be combined in various ways depending on the person. Overall, it means that each person is unique and requires their own set of interventions tailored to them.
