Shannon Brown, HBA
Therapist In Training
Thank you for taking the time to read this bio. I am currently completing my master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I am relatively new to practicing as a psychotherapist, but have ample experience working with complex and diverse individuals with varying mental health challenges as a Behaviour Therapist. I have worked as a Behaviour Therapist for the last six years, the last two of which I have been working in a mental health hospital. While transitioning to this new role I aim to take what I have learned from my educational experiences, clinical work, as well as learn from you! Each client is their own unique person, and the expert of their own experiences. We will work together to explore your challenges and collaborate to create goals that are individualized and uniquely tailored for your needs. I am most aligned with the CBT approach, but will pull different tools from an array of approaches dependent on your needs and preference.
