MY APPROACH

I am passionate about providing therapy that honors the unique experiences and needs of each individual. By integrating a range of evidence-based modalities—including play therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) —I aim to create a personalized approach that inspires meaningful growth and transformation.

YOUR THERAPY EXPERIENCE

Whether working with children, young adults, or families, my focus is on fostering emotional regulation, resilience, and overall well-being. I strive to build a collaborative and compassionate space where clients feel supported and empowered to navigate life’s challenges with confidence. With over 15 years of experience in developmental and mental health challenges, I specialize in supporting individuals and families across the lifespan. My work has encompassed a broad range of roles, including supporting youth in the justice system, conducting multidisciplinary and behavioral assessments, designing positive behavior support plans, and consulting on developmental concerns such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and children and adults with complex mental health needs. I have helped individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma (including sexual trauma), social anxiety, stress management, anger management, workplace harassment, attachment issues, relationship struggles, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, self-harm, and challenges related to phobias. By tailoring therapy to meet each client’s unique journey, I strive to guide them toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life. Currently, working under Dr. McDowall’s direct clinical supervision and pursuing registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts in Ontario.

This perspective enriches my work with families, allowing me to approach each client with empathy and a practical understanding of their challenges. Outside of my practice, I am passionate about enhancing the well-being of families and youth, whether through clinical consultations or advocacy efforts. My personal and professional experiences inspire me to support clients in improving their quality of life and fostering mental well-being.
