MY APPROACH

I enjoy working with youth, emerging adults, and adults navigating life’s challenges, relationships, questioning identity, or trying to make sense of experiences that have left you feeling stuck. I focus on inclusive care for all youth and adults but specifically neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ adults. I also focus on youth and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, identity, relationships and life transitions (school/work, moving, relationships). I approach each of my clients with respect and curiosity for their unique life experiences, strengths, values, and overall goals.

YOUR THERAPY EXPERIENCE

My approach is open, warm, collaborative, and rooted in life experiences. I strive to create an environment where you feel safe to be yourself, explore difficult emotions without judgement. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and that our work should move at a pace that feels supportive and manageable for you. Together, we’ll explore the patterns shaping your thoughts, feelings, and relationships while developing practical tools to support meaningful and sustainable change. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and adapt our work to what is most helpful for you. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, respected, and supported.

MORE ABOUT ME

My passion for counselling has grown through a combination of research, crisis intervention, and supporting individuals across educational and community settings. Before beginning my clinical training, I volunteered on a suicide and crisis hotline, where I learned the importance of compassion, presence, and meeting people where they are during life's most difficult moments. I have also contributed to research examining youth mental health, autism, attention, and self-worth, experiences that continue to shape my understanding of human development and resilience.

TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Starting therapy can feel daunting, intimidating and even unnecessary, especially if you’re unsure where to begin or whether therapy is right for you. Honestly, you don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. If something has been weighing on you, therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and feel supported through it. I’d be honoured to help you rediscover who you are, or meet yourself for the first time. Let's connect through an introductory conversation by booking a free consultation with me or scheduling an intro call to get started and see whether we might be a good fit. Let's discover the next step in your journey together.
