What is Energy Therapy?
Energy therapy has existed longer than we can imagine. Cultures like traditional Chinese medicine use energy therapy in the form of Qi gong. This practice involves aligning the breath, movement, and awareness for exercise, healing and martial arts. This training, extending back more than 4,000 years.
Benefits of Energy Therapy
Published studies have looked at the effect of energy therapy on measures of stress hormones, blood pressure, heart rate, and immune responsivity, and on subjective reports of anxiety, pain and depression. Data from some of the stronger studies support the ability of energy therapy to reduce anxiety and pain, and suggest its usefulness to induce relaxation, improve fatigue and depressive symptoms, and strengthen overall wellbeing.
