Dana Holkestad, MA
Clinical Counsellor
Hello & Welcome,
I have completed my Master’s in Counselling Psychology degree at Adler University in Vancouver and I feel honoured to be able to support individuals in their diverse life journeys. I am an emotion-focused, attachment-based therapist with a focus on relationship and identity patterns originating in early childhood. I seek to create a safe, relational space where you can explore some of your deeper thoughts and feelings and get to know parts of yourself that you haven’t felt comfortable accessing and expressing in the past. I draw from a variety of techniques to create a personalized therapy plan, but I do find that mindfulness, emotional processing and exploration of thought patterns through conversation to be powerful in creating change.
I am mindful of neurodivergence, traumatic symptoms, cultural/identity differences and diversity in all aspects of the therapeutic experience. I respect the client as the expert of their own experience and hope to instill a sense of safety, empowerment and clarity during our time together.
